Our Mission Statement:
To Boldly go where no team has gone before... ok I got a little carried away with the Star Trek analogy, but we are at that age where these young men that want to play soccer rise to the top. Where the need for competition is the driving force behind the need to have a ball at their feet. High School soccer is not enough, these elite players need more. This is why we are developing the Winslow Magic Premier Soccer U16B team.
As the spring season nears an end for our U15 boys, and they prepare to rejoin high school; many club teams will or already have notified their players that they will not be putting together a U16 Boys team in the fall. This is mainly because many players are content with playing only the fall season for the High Schools and that's it.
But there are a few select players that have soccer in their blood and just want to play soccer. Winslow Magic Premier will be putting such a team of elite players together. We are looking to carry 18 elite players that WANT to play soccer.
We will put together a U16 Boys Fall season (No practices during fall season, just Sunday games or just college showcase tournaments), a winter tournament season, State cups and State tournaments along with a spring season and a summer program where there will be professional training provided by Cris Vaccaro. Yes year round soccer. The cost will simply be the total cost of training, league fees and tournament fees. NOTHING more, NO PROFIT. We are not looking to exploit our children for a few dollars but want to make sure that those that WANT to play soccer have a place to go.
Premier Team Outline:
Roster: 18 Dedicated soccer players.
Cost: Approximately $700-$900 for a full year* (depending on the number of tournaments.)
Fall Season 2008:
We will play in MAPS Fall or College Showcase tournaments in fall season ONLY, there will be no practices during the High School season only games. Our trainer Cris Vaccaro feels its important to keep the kids together playing together in order to be a step ahead of the competition that is not playing in the Fall. NO Practices.
Winter Season 2008/2009:
We will participate in a few high level tournaments at the end of the Fall season (During October and November), we will then go indoors for practices and indoor games for the months of December and January (usually 8-10 week schedule). Looking at Futsal facilities.
Spring Season 2009:
March - June 2009, we will be entering a regular season within Maps, and will play in various premier showcase tournament including college showcase tournament in Delaware, NJ, Pa. we will participate in NJ State cup. Practices during the spring season will be 3 days / week. Professional training will be provided by Cris Vaccaro 2 of the 3 days / week.. Summer Season 2009:
Summer season will begin with tournaments in early June in conjunction with a summer league (TBD) and will run from June through July. - Since all players will hopefully be playing for High Schools we understand that most have a shortened 7v7 summer league in July and mandatory practices in August. So, our summer session will run from June to July 2009.
